I think only Rocky, Boon, and I have this opinion. Does nobody else think that OB has taken a backwards step by basically removing the stamina aspect of the game???
What about OB3D? Does that use the same stamina level as OB2D?

To answer you questions: with stamina 99.9% of ALL fights were over before round 6. And if they lasted the distance it was because both did nothing but throw a jab once in a while.
How realistic is that !? 99% of all fights ending in round 6 because of fatique ? How realistic is it that only ONE style is useful ?
I short, to be successfull, you could fight one style and one style only: jab and hug, and watching ur stamina like crazy. Now you can still box, but you would have to be good at BOXINg, that means evading and countering your oppontents "spam".
Not just jabbing and waiting for the other guy to tire.
In real boxing theres sluggers who can keep it up for 12 rounds, why not in OB ?
Also I feel that new players would think this kind of fighting to be extremely boring..
And to the ones that say stamina has no meaning anymore:Bull !. It just doesnt have the SAME meaning as YOU would like it to have, and that you taylor made YOUR style after.
As it if, If you're not careful, you can easily have a below half bar in round 7-8..which means that if you opponent has more, you would be in trouble the last 3 rounds, if he starts turning up the heat.
It's right that the first config made stamina totally meaningless, but after two or three tweaks it's not like that anymore.
I'm just doing what I feel is right..so give it a chance and try to adapt instead of just seeing things your own way.
Like i said, some like it and some not, it will always be like that, but some of the things some just said is flat out untrue or flat out biased.

I understand Mikkels point but imo the change made it impossible for anyone to run out of stamina. Mikkel says you can lose half of your stamina by rd 7-8, I dont know how, maybe by throwing 20 power shots per second, thats not real either.
Maybe Mikkel can meet me, Paul, Fatny, Bear, Reaper and Rocky half way?

Thanks for the explanation Mikkel. Is it difficult to implament "ability settings" on the "create a boxer" mode? Maybe when a fighter is created, the player could be assigned a certain amount of points and they can be spent on skills such as power, speed, endurance, stamina...etc.
I'm not a game developer so I don't know the dificulty of the task!
Fighters with different skill sets would make the game more interesting...each individual fighter having different stamina levels and power levels, etc.

Nice point Paul. Would be nice to adjust (until a certain level) your own:
- punching speed
- punching power
- stamina / endurance
- ability to take a shot
ps: Mikkel, I can throw 10 right hands and 4 big hooks a rd and still end the fight with a full stamina bar
ps2: Mikkel is not giving in is he Paul?

I don't understand the reason for change still...it was a brilliant game before...requiring intelligence and thought...now I can throw millions of punches every round and have almost full stamina...it doesn't feel "realistic" anymore...I want a BOXING game that's fun and realistic...not a spamming punch fest game.
There were no complaints about what it used to be like were there? What made you change the stamina level if everyone was enjoying the game? Is it a ploy so we abandon OB2D and join OB3D instead??? lol

I know you are a proud man Mikkel but I think you should change it back. The game requieres less skill now.

That wouldnt be too hard, however it would take time and energy, things I really only have for 3D atm.

I don't find it fun anymore. I'm fighting guys who are fairly new, throwing big hooks every 2 seconds, and im trying to outbox them, but they NEVER get tired, and it just ends up with both of us throwing massive hooks in hopes of knocking the other one down.
I like training newer fighters, ive been doing it for awhile, but when i was training someone the other day, i told him to avoid using the big hook, and try some long uppercuts, so to avoid losing your stamina, but i cut my sentence off, because that's no longer an issue. It's like "ah hell, just throw as many hooks as you can now, forget about strategy, hell forget about me training you, because you're already fighting like the pros here."
I'll hang around and chat with my buddies ^_^ but im not gonna fight.
Mikkel I'm not bashing you or anything, i love OB, i LOVE this game, you've done an incredible job, it's better than any other boxing game, and completely owns Fight Night.

every1 giving their ippinion so i figure i'd give mine as well.
1st off i wanna say..
I think online boxing is a really really fun game
Classius clay " Ali " use to take his opponent's out after wearing them down a bit. by punching them and making them miss or blocking till they got tired and of course his fancy footwork which ive seen no game copy it isactly..
Ali Vs. George Foreman ended in round 8 knockout. after Ali Weared down foreman by making him waste his punches and also jabbed and punched his energy down as well..
I think the hook should have more power and the stamina be possible to wear down where they can be knockout out with the big hook at around 7 or 8 rounds atleast.
I'm being beat everytime almost by boxer style and never hardly get to land the big hook anymore.
i hope Mik and everyone atleast read and consider my post.
and in real boxing sometime u see a Sluggers hook a mile away but can't do nothing about it boom! then its lights out. K.O.
thats way hook use to be in this game but lately its barley more powerful then uppercut and takes way longer to throw.
well thats all..
Take Care All , have a Good Night.
