OB2D is not well visited at the moment. No john, no boon, no viper, no madman, no ken etc. i waited 2 hours for some guys and nothing (except Captain America who came online for 2 seconds). --> lol..if you think i sit before my monitor and wait you are wrong. i am surfing and searching the net during this time.
I have a new idea how it could work to gain more guys playing the game (both..2D and your prefered project 3D).
Its a simple step but i think it will work somehow. You got the single player option but you are kind of isolated while playing it. Thats not good. The idea now is to set some bots (not that great amount of singleplayer) into the regular room. So that new guys can play immediately without closing it because noone is online. A real cool bonus would be to give 1 point or something like that for a win (so the guys come online to get better scores and ranks). Now just put a link to the ranking-page to OB2D and they wanna get named there etc. I think this would bring much more players that stay.
Just an idea (and of course improvable) but think about it. Maybe its a good idea to gain members.

Yeah it could help. Right now both OB2D and 3D are empty.

I hope that this will somehow change, there's no reason to keep an online game open for 1-2 players.

I would play again if it was not for the bad ping I get playing the game. My ping is great on other games, but for some reason it's awful for this. The constant changes to the gameplay didn't help either.

yeah, i understand your sadness there. But again, the quality of both games are outstanding (2D and 3D). If you take a look to other free Onlinegames you are the winner without a glue.
So i think that there are not enough players is something else. I cant understand whats the reason. I got a perfect pc (to play the newest games on the market) and a console as well but i would still prefer OB2D (with a few opponents to face). But yesterday i was online for 3 hours waiting and noone (but Captain for 2 seconds) joined the game.
It makes me angry that the whole world is too blind to realize that this game rocks.

I dont think anyone can be happy with the game now. If I change it someone else will be unhappy and ragequit.
I think it's time for 2D to go.

My sentiments exactly. This game really went down the shitter after the stamina change that made stamina have no effect on punch power. There's really no point of boxing anymore because the longer the fight drags on the more chance you have of getting caught. The game is strictly rock em sock em robots.
I remember back in 06, there was a mulitude of styles and players.

Ya had

1: Spam boxer- This fighter would spam light punches to win on points and try to survive at the end while regaining stamina. (Weedgrinder, Xtreme Skillz)
2: Spammer- This guy tried to rush you early and take you out, would struggle after stamina depleted. (Vargas, edder)
3: Slugger- This guy would throw devastating combinations and threaten to KO at any point in the fight. Was less effective in later rounds, but always dangerous. (Viper, Skillz, Sal)
4: Technical Boxer- This fighter would look to win rounds while looking to defend as much as possible. Big stamina advantage would lead to late TKOs or decision wins.(Me, Black Bear, Rocky, Captain, Larry)
5: Technical Slugger- This fighter would use pressure and heavy damage to wear an opponent out and TKO them. (Fatny, Reaper, Mike Tyson, Oscar, Catfish)
6: All Around- This fighter would box primarily with explosive combinations that threaten to KO. (HTF,Nigel, Yacoob)
7: Rope-A-Dope: Uncommon style that resorted to completely draining the opponent and then KOing them late. (African Assassin, UFC Sucks, tigeruppercut)

Current styles
1: Box and spam- Box until the opponent is hurt then spam(everyone)

profs, how would you rate my style (apart from the lag)?

my biggest complaint is that you can get hit 1 million times and yur stamina doesnt go down a bit, i agree with profs the game is for ko artists now
