I think that he has done enough. So does everyone else. Only the legendary Fatny stands a change against him, and only by dancing all night ! Congrats John !

Well done John, you sure deserve it! When I saw John for the first time I saw a spark, a spark that could become a flame that could turn into a fire. And boy what a fire it was. Now the next goal should be trying to be the best ever! Take a beer on this John, I will!

I agree but this is a newb thread mikkel, i would have put a thread up in november with nominees for a spot in the HOF:
-John
-Fernando Vargas
-Dick E.Boon
-Rocky Marciano
-Red Viper
with people making posts to praise the players and john winning it in the end. We should do something like that every year (as long as OB keeps living) and make sure at least 1 player gets in every year. You should think about doing this for OB3D too when it gets close to it's 1st year anniversary.
This 2 lines thread removes the "special" thing of the HOF if i can say. Mikkel is an OB newb.

Although I rate Fatny very high as a person, a fighter and a rock band member, I disagree with him on this one. If John wouldn´t have been around it would have been ridiculous imo to put me or anyone else in the HOF. John deserved his spot by by beating all the competition for over a year. By really dominatin. You can´t simply put the best fighter of the year in the HOF, they have to REALLY stand out, like John, Fatny and others.
Another argument against the idea is that there are about 15 active players. In 15 years all of them would he HOF´ers?
Fatny, I´d like to ask you to write Johns biography for the HOF page. You are the one who has been in many wars with him and you know his style better than anyone else. The last thread you started shows you know how to write as well! You can PM me and I am willing to edit.
Funny though that John finally gets it after being beaten a few times by the old master.

Thank you Mikkel for putting me in the HOF. Thank you Fatny for considering me to be in the HOF. Thank you Boon for showing me the ropes when I was a noob lol. Boon was there when I won my first title and successfully defended it. Boon was there when I was dominating through Oct 09 to now. Yeah it would have been more epic to see me win by the other actives voting for me but this will also do.

"John represents the renaissance of OB. John stepped up and filled the vacuum Fatny left behind. Not only his skills are amazing, also his dedication to keep this game interesting and alive. I was there when he first won the title, I was watching over his shoulder when he bullied all competition, I was there when he became a HOF´er. I may not be a great fighter myself, but I do have eye for talent. John is something special, I told him right after he won his first title. John is the spark that became a flame that turned into a devastating fire. Apart from being a great guy he never stepped down from a challenge and always looked to square off against OB´s best to further improve his skills. Many HOF´ers made short comebacks during the year John reigned OB, only to be knocked out by Big Bad John." - Dick E. Boon
"The thing with John is that he's just so extremely accurate, both in offense and in defense. There's some punches I consider myself a master of, like the small hook and the long upper. Well they're useless against John no matter how well you throw them, he just keeps blocking 90% of them and hurting you in the process. Speaking of which...if he hurts you (and he will), you better move your head a lot because he also happens to be one of the best finishers i've ever seen. Basically if you're not extremely good AND creative, you'll end up on the floor. A fine addition to the hall of fame indeed." - Fatny |

Here's my text boonie, feel free to add another small part about how he dominated (as I wasn't there much during that time) and also to correct my mistakes (as my first language is french):

Also Nigel has 204 defenses winning the title 77 times and for those who have played against him and was around during the time he was playing yall know he was a problem for everyone and usually your whined up losing with the exception for Fatny =/ And he was Superchamp i think or something =S
but i know he had 3 or 4 of the belts at one given point. But yall dont think thats not good enough given the creditability he rightfully deserves?

I fully second this, ive always thought Nigel deserved to be in there..
Thing is its not the same to induct someone who's not around anymore to even see it..

Skillz got a point. CA compare those stats to my stats and yeah nigel became superchamp in 08, sadly facing me for the championship unification. Ah i miss those days.
