I made an account to come on for a few fights to see how the game is going. It's been awhile since I've played and I can say I've missed it.
I was pretty disappointed when I came on though. All anyone in this game does anymore is keep a distance and jab. The aggressor in the fight is ALWAYS the loser if the fighter who is jabbing is worth a damn. This game has become a boring jab match and someone who I just fought had found a way to lean down (#2) throughout the match as my glove appeared to hit him without damage continuously. I can say that my glove hit my opponents body SEVERAL times with power punches and the game fails to register any of these. You have to be at an exact distance for any of them to land and this fighter had that down to an art.
I don't think I'm going to login anymore until 3D comes out. 2D has become a boring jab fest for pussies trying to make their records better. No one comes to brawl anymore. There was one guy who actually wanted to make the fight fun and that was "Fatny." Even though I lost I had fun, and that's the reason why I play games, to have fun.
When I was at my peak there were many more players who tried to actually have a fight - rather than jab the entire fight or try to find faults in the game to use to their advantage.
Just my 2 cents.

Thats not true. Maybe in some cases but people do slug I have had some major fun in the last days sense I started playing more. This isnt the first post you made about jabing.
Think of it this way the slugger who walks straight in with out a jab of his own is the one who gets tagged. Throw a jab in there when your coming in and youll be fine.. thats what "Fatny" does he boxes and once he is inside he lets lose.

Yup that's what I did. He is right on a few points, I was an aggressive fighter for a long time, but I just kept running out of stamina and kept getting owned by the jab and the lean.
So In the last 3 months I have slowly changed my style and I now jab and lean to win fights. Since the stamina change it's almost impossible to slug and win over the stretch.

It's tough to balance. If I put a little more stamina in the game, it won't have any significane during the fight.
So the option would be to remove it completely. Suggestions are welcome.

IMO you have got the balance just right Mikkel. In reality, no fighter could go all guns blazing without losing steam. That is the disadvantage of throwing alot of punches, yes it will win you rounds, but your going to be running on fumes in the later stages. Unless you take the odd round off of course.
In reality also, if you stick a guy in the ring who is only looking to come forward and brawl and put him in with a decent boxer, chances are the brawler is going to get his arse handed to him.

Like I said any guy can go in and push 100 buttons and not stop fighting. But can you go in GUNZ BLAZING AND LAND THE SHOTS. because if you land the shots your stamina will not go down as fast.
I am happy with any change Mikkel makes because the cream will always rise to the top no matter what.

The aggressor shouldn't be so limited. In this game if you have an aggressive opponent, all you have to do is step back and jab the hell out of him to win the fight. The only real fights that happen are when you have two aggressors fighting each other. Lately that's a rarity since it's so easy to change your style to jab and wait for the other guy to get bored of having a jab match and eventually coming in and trying to brawl. Then you just have to control him with the jab and you're home free... Maybe change it so that the jab takes away more stamina? I really think that's the problem. You can throw WAY too many jabs and lose barely any stamina.
The other problem is people that duck down (#2). If they are at a certain distance right in front of you and your glove hits them with a power punch, it will not register. Some people (Red Viper) have gotten this trick down to an art so that when he's ducking down, you can never hit him in the body at close range - even when your gloves appear to hit him with power shots. It's very unrealistic.

hah, the jab is the one punch where your stamina is LEAST depleated...it takes more energy to throw hard hooks, right hands, uppercuts and body shots than it does to push, paw or snap a jab...
there are plenty of fighters right now who can beat me simply because they are aggressive and apply good pressure...they may not knock me out, but they are active enough to win a close or comfortable decision...

You have a good point here and like I just said in your other post, I remember when there were many more players who came to fight rather than trying to figure out how to 'out-gay' their opponents. That's what I've been really trying to say here. I don't know what changes would need to be made, whether it has to do with stamina or not, in order to get more fighters to fight rather than out-gay each other. But I do know the game would be a lot more fun if we figured out what change would result in that.

No matter what changes are made people will always be unhappy.
Like I said any change that Mikkel makes the cream will always rise to the top and then there will be some more complaining.

I guess I just don't like change much. I'm an old dog, you can't teach me new tricks. I'm not the cream either so all this gayness going around now just spoils the game for me.
