You are one of the best out of New Breed Profs.

Hey Reaper come back. You are actually needed for something.
Hey Catfish come back. You are also needed for something.

This idea is not my own. It was brought up by ProfsBack so all credit goes to him for this rather interesting idea.
Lets have a mini tournament called Veterans vs. New Breed
Lets see if veteran players of OB can beat the so called New Breed with ease if at all
Lets see if the so called New Breed have surpassed the old guys or are they all just bums
Representing VETERANS we have: Nigel Benn, Tyrant, HTF, Red Viper, Black Bear
Representing the NEW BREED: ProfsBack, The Contender, Jigsaw, Boxa, X-treme Skillz
Here is my suggestion for rules : 5 vs. 5, tournament room, best out of 3 matches

Just one more thing: styles make fights and everyone can lose.

Quite a few players have improved. In fact there are only couple of old veterans who could come back and hold their own. Also it is important to notice that some of the veterans who still play have also improved.
Fatny used to be the best and is still the best. In fact Fatny is the best player ever on OB2d. It does not matter if some individuals used to box on level with him or not as Fatny has also improved and perfected his game. Prime or not, those same people can no longer offer him serious challenge. Make no mistake, Fatny loses every now and then but I do not see anyone beating him on constant bases.
There are couple of players who have improved and reached the next level. In fact, like I said, there are just couple (one or two) old veterans who could come back and hold their own. That is because they never really left for good but kept coming back and playing the game. Good example of this is Larry. The other reason for this that overall skill level of this game has grown. The game might have had more players, the game might have felt more fun but the fact is none of these veterans were as good as they are now. Old styles and tactics just do not work anymore. There have been changes to the game itself and people also have got used to those tactics and figured them out.
To the FEW and just few of the veterans able to come back and hold their own: Sure the old battles were tough and this and that boxer felt dangerous but that is just because you yourself were still up and coming. Now that you got the skills it just feels that the level is shit when in fact it is not. Level is ok and maybe even better. You just have got to the point it is hard to find a decent challenge.
Here is my own rankings based on my personal experiences:
1. Fatny.
- He is best ever.
2. Black Bear.
- Black Bear did not use to be this good. He kept playing and finally improved. He is not that active but can come back any given time, shake his rust off and beat everyone but Fatny.
3. The Contender
- I myself kept playing this game and also finally improved figuring few things out. I recently went on a streak over 100 in total beating everyone but Fatny and Black Bear. The only people who keep beating me on constant bases at the moment are Fatny and Black Bear.
4. Red Viper
- Red Viper is one dimensional but so what. He also did not use to be this good but kept playing and tweaked his own personal style and improved. With his newfound accuracy and patience he is more dangerous than ever. He no longer just spams.
5. Boxa
- Granted Boxa is bit rusty but he is really good and part of the "new generation. He has the skills to beat anyone but Fatny.
Then there are fighters who are extremely close to reaching the next level and when they finally reach it they will be able to hold their own against ANYONE including you HTF (well against anyone but Fatny). Here are few names I feel are very close to reaching that level in no particular order: ProfsBack, Catfish, Jigsaw, Chopper, X-treme Skillz.
The so called new generation is perfectly capable of holding it's own and beating you HTF.
Ps. You might also find it hard to beat Boon in his own lag dimension. He might have serious skills but it is too hard to tell as I have never seen him box in normal speed without extensive lag.
