Pavlik has been overrated. I dont care what any one says Ive always told people and I knew Bernard was going to shut him down thats why I put a good size bet on him. By the way I think Jones has a good chance to beat Joe even with his weak chin. I dont think Joe has tons of power and I been watching every fight of his!!!! He throws wide some times and gets sloppy... We all know Roy is quick and sharp and it only takes 1 punch. I am not claiming he will dominate but he has a good chance more then people are giving hm. We will see next month.

@Oscar
Do you honestly think that 10 years down the line calslappy will be remembered on a level anywhere near Hopkins let alone above him. calzaghe won their fight based on what the judges preferred and the majority of observers including the respected professionals on UK networks such as sky and sentanta had Hopkins winning based on clean hard punches. Anyways If you think that calslappy will be remembered on a level near hopkins let alone above him your insane.

It still amazes me how Calzaghe still gets attacked by the American public. If only he was American, maybe even black, he would have got respect by now. Atleast sports writers in America and former American boxing champions rate Calzaghe very highly and consider him an all time great (which he is like it or not) they after all know what they are talking about.

Calzaghe dismantles Kessler and Lacy, people on this forum just say shit like "ohhh never reated Lacy", "Joe Calslapply", (Lacy and Kesslers faces looked like they had been slapped didn't they?) blah blah blah, but the moment Hopkins beats a champion it's "wow look how amazing he is, legend". I still remember who Hopkins has lost too and he has lost a few big fights and he is a criminal and a downright racist.

I disagree Roy jones gave up his knockout power a long time ago when he decided to be kind to his opponants and not knock them out when he could of this is because of what happened to his friend gerald McClellan.
Another reason is hes not a risk taker anymore because of what happened in the 2nd tarver fight he got caught throwing a risky combo now hes really gunshy hes afraid of being caught again while throwing a combination.
I severly doubt he will win by knockout because of them reasons i also think his killer instinct has taken alot of knocks too.
What you will see is just Joe winning a comfi decision without much resistance from roy jones.
I use to be a big roy jones fan only like 5 months ago but after seeing what hes doing for money e.g. Fighting tito.
I just dont believe his heart is in it anymore hes just a cash cow now living of his name no wonder he hasnt fought someone whos a natural light heavy with alot of power in a while because he knows about his fine china.

I don't think he lost but he didn't dominate Hopkins. Most of the punches he landed were pitty pat slaps.

Speed is power and Jones has lots of it. But your right I think Roy has lost his one punch KO power but he still can hurt Joe. If I was to guess how it would happen it would probably be Roy on the ropes Joe throwing while Roy counters with a solid uppercut.

Jones hasn't displayed one punch KO power since his days at 160-168. At 175, it was more his speed that produced the knockdowns.

These days his power doesn't seem to be there as much because he's afraid to commit. He couldn't even KO Trinidad.

Power punches are considered everything other than a jab. Therefor the 116 power punches that Hopkins landed were more convincing than any number of slaps from Calslappy be it 187 or 287. Slaps should not be counted in compubox.

Exactly monkey tail that's what people don't realize. I don't consider what calzaghe does to be punches, because in all honestly it was blatantly apparent that every jab let alone power punch Hopkins landed had a lot more on it then lets say 5 slaps(power punches) landed by the slapping master, and yeah those shots shouldn't be counted on compubox. I do think that calzaghe would beat Pavlik but in no where near as dominant fashion as Hopkins. A he would not be able to back pavlik up like Hopkins did, B he would not be able to remotely hurt or gain the respect of Pavlik which means Pavlik would throw against him and would land since calzaghe is very hittable. I do think that he would give him angles and dazzle his with his 100 open hand slaps per round and win a unanimous decision something like 116-112

If calzaghe slapped then why did hopkins not hit him back if these punches were so ineffective then he would just walk straight through them but other than the frirst round he couldnt keep up with joe so i guess they must have had some power in them

If you believe in compubox, they have to be counted. However, I don't believe the actual judges should put great emphasis on those slaps.

Personally, I felt Hops/Calzaghe was a crappy fight, but if I'm forced to pick a winner, I go with Calzaghe. He seemed to have the physical edge and had Hopkins complaining about the rough housing, something he rarely ever does.

Hopkins' punches were most effective, but Calzaghe seemed to be more comfortable as the fight progressed and that was the first time where it seemed Hopkins got a LITTLE tired.
