Aye, the same as if Calzaghe fought Hopkins or RJJ again, he'd obviously lose, despite the fact that he battered them, he'd obviously lose if he took a rematch.

I have a feeling that you two (Prof, Fernando) don't know the definition of power, because if you did you wouldn't have posted such a ridiculous comment.

"Khan will probably make sure they fight when MAB is near 40 to make things easier upon himself as he has no chin."

If you're saying Khan has no chin then you're clearly implying that Barrera has no power at all.

RJJ isn't in the discussion. It was a cheap fight against a man who was years out of his prime. Calzaghe couldn't even finish him pathetically enough. And winning a bullshit split decision isn't battering anyone. If Hopkins fought like he did against Pavlik (going for the ko, taking chances) he'd beat Calzaghe hands down as old as he is.

Prof...

If this...if that...it didn't happen, Khan was the better fighter on the night and deserved to win. Calzaghe was the better fighter on the night and deserved to win. Are you completely incapable of acknowledging a British boxer's performances and skills?

Ignore him, he is an idiot. Unless boxers are American he won't give credit, you know that so no point in arguing with him. Just listen to people with real boxing knowledge like past fighters, trainers (Freddie Roach for example) and boxing critics, none of them have the same opinion as this fool and gratefully, they are the guys who's opinion really matter and have an impact on who should be seen as great, thankfully without the bullshit flag prejudice.

Well I think that he beat him no doubt. Don't know how much it proves, think it was more of a test and a confidence builder for him. But will be interesting where he goes from here.

MAB fought with an unnecissary handicap from round 1 from headbutt. The same blinding cut that stopped the fight conveniently for Khan. MAB didn't have a chance as this was the furthest thing from a fair fight. It was a joke.

It's easy to blame it on that..I've seen many fighters go on with a deep cut and winning the fight anyway. If you really are the best fighter you might lose the fight because of this, but being completely shut out you shouldnt.
Anyway I dont see the problem here. MAB is far from the MAB that killed Nazeems career. So he loses, big deal ?

At this point Khans gonna lose if he meats someone like JMM.
He is speedy, but not overly so, and it's easy to be speedy if you don't commit your punches. There's not much power behind them.
Whats speed good for is theres no power behind ?
He still fights like an amateur..I didnt see him slip a punch even once, he don't know how to move his head.
He just looks very green, and would be destroyed by someone like Pac or JMM.
Roach is going to have to work wonders with him. He just looks so amateurish.

His punches might not have as much power behind them as other fighters...but they have a lot of "snap" behind them...stinging shots...they will accumulate and add up...Khan is a class act with bags of ability...he needs to fight top opposition from now onwards though...

If I were his promoter and manager...I think he is not ready for JMM yet... I would make him fight JMM in about 7 more fights from now...I would like to see him fight these guys in this order:

1. Jon Thaxton (prove himself as Britains best lightweight)

2. Mezaache (for European title...prove himself the best LW in Europe)

3. Michael Katsidis (this guy is a warrior..i'd like to see this fight)

4. Breidis Prescott (get revenge for his only loss)

5. Joel Casamayor (top contender)

6. David Diaz/ Juan Diaz (top contender)

7. Juan Manuel Marquez (awesome champ...)

I think it's because MAB said he didn't feel Khan's punches in the post fight interview. He said he has weak punch power.

MAB doesn't take defeat well tho. Most boxers say things like this. Khan has KO'd alot of people whether they are good or not he's knocked them out cold
