"John represents the renaissance of OB. John stepped up and filled the vacuum Fatny left behind. Not only his skills are amazing, also his dedication to keep this game interesting and alive. I was there when he first won the title, I was watching over his shoulder when he bullied all competition, I was there when he became a HOF´er. I may not be a great fighter myself, but I do have eye for talent. John is something special, I told him right after he won his first title. John is the spark that became a flame that turned into a devastating fire. Apart from being a great guy he never stepped down from a challenge and always looked to square off against OB´s best to further improve his skills. Many HOF´ers made short comebacks during the year John reigned OB, only to be knocked out by Big Bad John." - Dick E. Boon
"The thing with John is that he's just so extremely accurate, both in offense and in defense. There's some punches I consider myself a master of, like the small hook and the long upper. Well they're useless against John no matter how well you throw them, he just keeps blocking 90% of them and hurting you in the process. Speaking of which...if he hurts you (and he will), you better move your head a lot because he also happens to be one of the best finishers i've ever seen. Basically if you're not extremely good AND creative, you'll end up on the floor. A fine addition to the hall of fame indeed." - Fatny |

Mikkel created a great game but imo he should put a little more effort in the HOF section. People take it seriously, and they are right to do so, it is (or at least is was) an honor to be in the HOF. By not inducting new people it shows some disregard to the new players.
Lab was better then all of those players. But he could have been better.
Ashton was real decent if not a little bit better. He came back on a alt once or twice and did very well against the games top players.
John,
Mikkel is right about asking about being in the HOF. Sugarray did this and i belive people got annoyed and it didnt help him any.
If I was you i'd just forget about the HOF and continue to fight... IMO the game is struggling a little bit and I am sure naming the next HOFer is low on the priority list.

if someone deserve to be in the HOF its john. I got thousand times more respect to john than most listed in this so called HOF. He got skills that others named there just dont have.
But the active players are not allowed to vote someone into this HOF. So we got no powers to take him there...sad but true.
So one permanent player (boon) opened this thread and other permanent players want him to be in.
So i think you HOF guys should take a second look to john. Maybe he is ready for the HOF. Its not just a nonsense thread. It got a basis.

I am just saying sugarray asked about being in serveral times and each time it didnt do him any good. These threads are fine I dont mind them.
I do think he is on the right track... I wouldnt go as far as saying he has more skills then the current HOFERs. He might be better then streetbully and greg though. But anyway my point is HOF is the last thing I think Mikkel is worried about. In the future I am sure when John is getting introducted I am sure all of us will look back and see how dominate he was during this time it wont be overlooked.

Yeah, outside of StreetBully and Greg Haugen and maybe Ashton(I've fought him, he's pretty decent even when rusty) john isn't even close to the level of any of the HOFers.

Man I can't believe it has been 4 years since Dick E. Boon made this thread. I saw this in my Information Technology class in 10th grade and I nearly shit bricks hahahaha. It's a great reminisce seeing that I was even in consideration for the HOF. I just wonder if Nigel, Black Bear or maybe even Phenom will make it in here. But anyways I just like how Reaper pointed out that I was one-dimensional. Reaper I think you'll always stand by that statement, right buddy ol pal?

I'm glad you got in. The HOF shouldn't be a list that is sit on simply because the former HOFers aren't around to vote in. Only the current crop of players and Mikkel himself can decide that based on those who you've competed with and those who know you.
The system kind of got lost when new guys weren't inducted and therefor the older guys didn't stick around long enough to see anyone else have successful runs.

Thanks Tyrant. And I agree with you 100%. I feel that this summer is an optimal time for another HOF inductee. It's been 3 years since I was inducted and there are some fighters that are worthy of the HOF. Tyrant I have always believed that you and a few others should have been inducted a long time ago? You should make a comeback and make one last attempt at the HOF!!

what sort of hofer brings up there inductory thread? worse it was started by dick boon the worse lagger/noober in ob history. HOF means nothing when this game comes down lol. That is why no one cares anymore because people are wise to know this game is almost at the end of the line. I still stand by your boxing style, that is why you win/lose your title every minute.
