Mikkel i really REALLY think you should reduce the lean back punch damage because it's being spammed so much and it defeats the purpose of the jab and close range fighting.

i think this discussion is without sense. For you captain its that lean-back-punch. I got no problems with this punch. For others its the amount of power that is cause by a kneeing bodyshot. For others its the missing power by the good old jab that is reduced to a joke now.
You see? Everyone got his problems with this or that punch...the trick to get someone of the best is reducing this problems to a minimum.

yeah, i know what you mean. I fought one person that used that punch at every given moment...it was frustrating...and i lost because it was that powerful.
But then i fought another guy with just 2 punches he used. This long hook and the downpunch. I was not able to find a medicine against this and lost to this limitated kind of boxing. That caused same frustration as above mentioned.
If someone use this lean back punch to frustrate you...the hard right straight should solve this problem if well used.
I have not meet this other guy with this 2 punch kind of boxing again so far. But if i meet him i try different things to beat this retarded style (and i think it will work..).

Yeah I agree with everybody here. The lean back punch should be the weakest punch in the game, not one of the strongest. Out of the 3 days i have played so far almost everybody spams this fucking punch. I lost to popeye twice because of the spamming of this move and other power moves. Cant we play at the normal settings. Like how it used to be. The 07 settings was my favorite out of all settings. I look at all of the moves and how they are rated by low power to high power. This is what it says on the instructions section.
Left Jab P2
Right cross P5
Cork screw P1
Uppercut P4
Long uppercut P3
Left hook P3
Long left hook P7
Shovel body punches P1
Short Body punch P4
Long bodypunch P4
Punches from crouching position
Left jab to body P2
Long left jab to body P2
Right cross to body P5
Short body punch P4
Punches from backing up position
Left Jab to head P1
The P stands for Power
Change the power of the moves to this. Im sure everybody would like the regular settings back. Does anybody agree with this?

"John represents the renaissance of OB. John stepped up and filled the vacuum Fatny left behind. Not only his skills are amazing, also his dedication to keep this game interesting and alive. I was there when he first won the title, I was watching over his shoulder when he bullied all competition, I was there when he became a HOF´er. I may not be a great fighter myself, but I do have eye for talent. John is something special, I told him right after he won his first title. John is the spark that became a flame that turned into a devastating fire. Apart from being a great guy he never stepped down from a challenge and always looked to square off against OB´s best to further improve his skills. Many HOF´ers made short comebacks during the year John reigned OB, only to be knocked out by Big Bad John." - Dick E. Boon
"The thing with John is that he's just so extremely accurate, both in offense and in defense. There's some punches I consider myself a master of, like the small hook and the long upper. Well they're useless against John no matter how well you throw them, he just keeps blocking 90% of them and hurting you in the process. Speaking of which...if he hurts you (and he will), you better move your head a lot because he also happens to be one of the best finishers i've ever seen. Basically if you're not extremely good AND creative, you'll end up on the floor. A fine addition to the hall of fame indeed." - Fatny |

Lean back is pretty powerful, but I like it because the range is tricky and it stops people from cross-arm hugging you when hurt.
I never liked the crouching right hand to the body. Way to easy to combo, way to quick. It is the most devastating punch in the game right now, and probably responsible for 80 percent of the KOs. If someone hits you while you are crouching just forget about it, you can have full body health and you wont be able to get up in time to avoid the 2 second onslaught of right crosses.

i agree with professor here. Toooo much damage is caused after this crouching bodyshot. No time to react, no time to stand up...if someone is perfect with this punch its impossible to react in time.
Only way to win against guys that prefer this punch is to stop defending the head completely and to find a way to be better on the head than the opponent. In my case it helped and the guy that won 3 matches before with that bodypunch-shit lost the same amount after i reacted with this method.

This discussion doesn't matter unless mikkel changes it so hopefully mikkel will change the power setting and revert back to the 07 setting.....
