RE: Crank and Faker for HOF
I approve for both. Definite yes for Crank. Well deserved at this point. Faker semi yes semi no. I feel like of the two, Crank won the battle, but i can understand Faker getting in too*. He has developed in to a great fighter capable of beating HOFers. I'm sure they both would give Fatny a run for his money, maybe haha.

RE: Ob’s TOP 5 players
@ProfsBack Thank you for the compliments and you certainly made some fair points. My run will always be diluted due to the population of the game at that time. I know that every one will not see me as a top 3 fighter of all time or the GOAT. And that's totally fine as that is yours and everyone else's opinions. There's tons of great fighters that we've had over OB's history. Any discussion that involves different era's will end with discussions like these. It is correct that there were some HOF'ers that made brief comebacks during or after my HOF run. A lot of them had a hard time beating me. Obviously they came close to beating me or had surely beat me as my style can be caught on easily and exploited at times.
Larry Holmes told me i was the luckiest player ever as every match i had against him during my run i did my signature KO on him. Every time. I haven't seen him since then, which was very unfortunate as i wanted more people to come back and have fun with the game again. I did everything that i could to keep the game interesting and alive for as long as i could.
Fatny and I were near neck to neck on rounds. He would get the majority of the round wins though as he's Fatny. Not much else you can do besides stick to what you do best against the guy and hope you can catch him slipping. He will always be my toughest opponent and my true rival in this game. Beating him is like beating a game at it's hardest difficulty with all of the available modifiers to make your life a living hell.
Unstoppable was and still is a beast, and we kicked each other's asses till we both had zero stamina left every time to the point where we had take rounds off just playing defense for me ass kicking later. .
HTF briefly came back under a different name or names, can't truly confirm that, but we had some solid matches and he gave me props from how far i've come since 2007-2008.
Sal, Lab, and several honorable mentions came back and couldn't keep up.
My personal Top 5 opponents would be
- Fatny
- No explanation needed
- Unstoppable
- There were times where i couldn't hit him or outpunch him. Too fast, great accuracy, and good defense.
- Crank
- Had some solid battles for sure. Definitely got the edge on me here and there with well timed counters and great boxing. Very capable of charging in for inside slugging, but does more damage when he's slipping and countering..
- Faker
- He's my protege, he knows my moves and likes using them against me damn it.
- Salvador-Sanchez
- He dominated during 2008 under alts and he simply could not be touched. Couldn't outbox, outslug, or hit him at all. He held the game hostage at one point with all of the titles, al lwhile doing it either tipsy or drunk.
Honorable mentions in no order
HTF, Fernando Vargas, Mikkel, Reaper, Red Viper, Dick E. Boon (200ms+ ping), TheMadMan, Nigel Benn, Larry HolmesI'm sure HTF, Sal, and Larry would have been higher on my list if i was able to play against them more during their primes.

RE: New Server & Paypal maybe?
I get 39 ms ping to Montreal. Sounds like that could be the best spot then.
-
RE: Server location suggestion (Qassimiut, Greenland)
I think Greenland is probably the best option. My average ping to Nuuk servers was 97ms. I want to say that Qassimiut will probably be 90ms roughly. I'm interested to see what Sniper's ping would be at.

RE: Crank for HOF.
@Reaper Not weak when it's the truth. He's a great fighter and i personally think he should have been in the HOF based on what he was able to accomplish. But my opinion on that may differ from others.

RE: Crank for HOF.
@Reaper He's never truly dominated the game. You wouldn't see him always on the front page of OB holding the titles. He's more than capable of winning and defending the titles. He's an excellent offensive threat no doubt about that. He can KO someone in an instant. The only time i remembered him to be #1 was 2008, but that was short lived. He was terrible at defense to the point where he would lose to really bad/non trying fighters. In these current settings, he wouldn't be able to stand a chance against Crank or Faker. He'd lose so much stamina that they'd pick him apart before he can attempt a combo attack. If you put everything together that he's accomplished, it's hard to argue that he isn't HOF worthy. That's really all i got on that.

RE: Crank for HOF.
@The-Sniper I think Crank should be inducted in to the HOF.
-
RE: Crank for HOF.
@Reaper Well i have always said that Viper should have been in the HOF long ago. I can understand why he wasn't though. I know 2008 he was damn near unstoppable to beat as stamina was non-existent in those settings. It was a slugfest bloodbath every fight. Very fun times those were.

RE: About the server & (possibly) getting a new server
I'm hard wired now and was still experiencing a good chunk of ping ups/downs and skipped frames. Best we can do is try to switch to something better as we can only assume that's the issue. If that's not it then we can eliminate that as a possible issue. Perhaps it could be something with the firewall that's blocking the game? We aren't using a browser or app anymore. Just a theory though. I'm no expert at this field.

RE: WHO IS FATNY
But it's very possible if HTF and Fatny were cool like that.

RE: WHO IS FATNY
HTF told me a long time ago that JT gave him his account. Gave up on the game. He signed into Jermain Taylor for proof. I don't think JT is Fatny.

RE: Mikkel - Server Lag
The issue is that some fighters against specific individuals are experiencing the lag. But others are not experiencing the lag against those specific individuals. I don't have much lag against Faker. But i lag hard against Reaper, Crank, Black Bear, and Toosy. Especially Toosy. Dear god it's the worst. At first the lag was bad against Unstop, but now it's cleared up for the most part after the adjustments Unstop made, and the fix i did to my network adapter. Note that Unstop still has WiFi, but simply closer to the router. My router is a floor directly below me. Not far at all. Maybe it's the type of internet package that we have that just doesn't work well with other internet packages? I'm no expert at stuff like this, so i don't know what the solution is.

John is back as well!
I'll be around here and there around 3 or 4 p.m. est. Will be joining the discord server soon for better communication. Unstop and Yacoob is the GOAT.

R.I.P Kobe and GiGi
Just wanted to point that out. One of my favorite NBA players of all-time. Just crazy.

RE: Faker for HOF?
@thesniper
I agree with Sniper. I feel that Faker is on the right track for sure. Definitely have improved over the years and he's really needing more fighters to play consistently. Each era has their own level of competition and activity, and these late few years have simply the least amount of comp and activity than any other era in the history of OB. It's unfortunate, but not much you can do when the game doesn't receive much attention that it definitely deserves in my opinion.I do think he needs to prove that he can defeat multiple motivated top and semi-top fighters. I don't believe i would have ever got in if i wasn't able to consistently fight the top players during my stretch. So if we can get people back into it, bring back those who would still want to fight, and try to bring this game back together and maintain it, that will definitely accelerate his process for HOF status.
Regarding who he loses to, I don't care how many title losses you get each day. I don't care how you lose the title. What matters to me is if you can hold the title honorably at the end of the day consistently. Everybody is able to get into their groove or their "zone" and be able to win the match, but being able to consistently hold that title day in day out while fighting everybody is i feel what matters the most. Winning titles by lucky KO and running away doesn't help your case.
In summation, i will have to say no for now, but he's on the right track just like many fighters who have tried. I would like to see other fighters besides Sniper, Reaper, Toosmooth, and Toosmooth's multiple alts to be motivated enough to stick around and do their best to go for the HOF and to challenge Faker.
